Lobyco and Profi expand partnership to enhance customer engagement

COPENHAGEN, DenmarkLobyco, the global leader in grocery loyalty programs, today announced an expansion of its partnership with Profi, one of the leading food retailers in Romania. Since their 2020 launch, the collaboration has transformed Profi's loyalty ecosystem with gamification and advanced features, driving engagement among its 2.5 million members. The retailer is now adding new features like mobile scan and go, personalized offers, local community elements, and skill-based games to its successful program.

With a network of over 1700 stores, Profi wanted to expand its customer loyalty, brand image and attract younger audiences. In January 2021, Profi partnered with Lobyco to develop a bespoke loyalty program as part of a five-year strategic plan. The phased rollout included the immediate introduction of luck-based gamification features. Since the app's launch, Profi has enrolled 2.5 million members and achieved a prize claiming rate of 65% or higher, translating to an additional visit and revenue per customer.

Due to the resounding success of the loyalty program to date, Profi decided to expand its partnership with Lobyco by adding the following features:

·      Scan and Go: This feature will streamline the shopping experience, allowing customers to quickly scan items and complete purchases via the app, reducing wait times and enhancing convenience.

·      Personalized Offers: Leveraging machine learning capabilities, this feature will deliver tailored offers to customers based on their shopping habits and preferences, increasing the relevance and effectiveness of promotions.

·      Local Community Features: These features allow store managers to proactively engage with their community withupdates on a variety of topics, from limited-time discounts to fresh local produce.

·      Skill-based Games: Building on the success of the current luck-based games, Profi will introduce skill-based games that offer more engaging and rewarding experiences, attracting a broader audience and driving repeated app usage.
